What to expect

outside of church 2We would like you to feel totally welcome at Meredith Road Baptist Church and we are pleased that you are thinking about or have already decided to join with us.

As you can see from our website there are a wide range of activities which might be of interest to you. Of course, you are always welcome to join us on Sundays for family worship at 10.30am. If you have a family then we welcome children of all ages.

To make you feel at home on Sundays, here’s a brief guide to the way we do things at Meredith Road Baptist:

  • We don’t use hymn books but sing songs of a mostly contemporary style and the words are projected onto a big screen, and if there are any spoken words to participate with, these will go up there too.
  • After 20-30 minutes the children and young people leave the service for their age specific groups. We also have a crèche in a separate room where you can care for your baby and also hear and see the service.
  • Whilst the children enjoy their groups, the service includes prayers, bible readings and a message for about 1 hour before the end of the service at around 12 noon.
  • We share tea and coffee following the service and this is a great way for you to get to know people who worship with us.

Our church building is fully wheelchair accessible and we have an induction loop fitted if you use a hearing aid.

We have parking spaces available at the church, so if you’re coming by car please use the car parks or side-street parking nearby.

We look forward to meeting you on a Sunday or at one of our mid-week activities.
