In India, more than half the population has never heard the gospel of Jesus Christ. With a population that has risen to more than 1.16 billion, approximately six hundred million people have never heard the name of Jesus, not even once in their lives. Heartlink was founded to encourage, motivate and equip Christians by consultancy, training, evangelism, leadership in mission and project development with particular focus on the needy in society. Currently Heartlink engages in the following activities: Bible School; Planting New Churches; Orphanages; Medical Work and other Micro Projects e.g. fish farms and goat herds. Coventry Foodbank is based at the Mosaic Church and at the old Methodist Church building on McDonald Road. At Meredith Road we have a foodbank station where donations of food can be made towards the foodbank. The Foodbank was founded by the Trussel Trust. 13 million people live below the poverty line in the UK. In 2011-12 foodbanks fed 128,687 people nationwide, in 2012-13 we anticipate this number will rise to over 290,000. Rising costs of food and fuel combined with static income, high unemployment and changes to benefits are causing more and more people to come to foodbanks for help. The Trussell Trust partners with churches and communities to open new foodbanks nationwide. With over 325 foodbanks currently launched, our goal is for every town to have one. Samaritans Purse was founded in 1970 with a mission to "Meet emergency needs in crisis areas through existing evangelical mission agencies and national churches." Messy Church at Meredith Road has stopped running once a month, however we do hope to run an occasional seasonal session. Please look on the website calendar for dates. Messy Church is a fun-packed family session to include lots of craft activities, celebration time and a hot meal. All children must bring an adult and all adults must bring a child.
