Prayer Groups

Prayer is an important part of the life of the church and is encouraged in corporate worship, mid-week meetings, house groups and as part of individual’s quiet times. The church have a prayer room off the foyer that is available for personal prayer at any time.

Pre-service Prayer is available for all in the prayer room each Sunday morning from 9.30am onwards.

Prayer ministry is available from members of the Prayer Ministry Team on a Sunday towards the end of each service. In prayer ministry we ask God to heal the inner woundings that we receive in life, many of them in our early years, and set us free from the consequences. They are also available during the Communion services to pray for individuals seeking healing prayer and other prayer ministry.

Soaking Prayer evenings have been arranged for those wishing to relax in God’s presence and receive God’s blessing.

Prayer walking on Saturday mornings is a regular feature of the life of the church and the neighbourhood has been regularly prayer walked over many years.

At least once a year we arrange 24/7 prayer in the church prayer room and monthly corporate prayer meetings. We reqularly pray for the city, the nation and the world including the persecuted church. For more information click on Open Doors and the Barnabas Fund

It is also possible for individuals to arrange for one or more full prayer ministry sessions with those who offer appointments (always working in pairs) and in addition people are encouraged to attend courses run by recognised healing ministries.

A small group offer Healing prayer on the streets of Coventry each Friday morning at the Swanswell Park.

Prayer and Blessings group meet once a month between 5 and 7pm on Fridays (see notice sheet for deatils)

The church also support and make use of the Coventry Prayer House in the centre of Coventry at the Lychgate Cottages, 4 Priory Row, Coventry CV1 5EX (next to 'Wetherspoons'). The Coventry Prayer House is a praying community at the heart of Coventry, uniting across the churches, asking God to revive and transform our city with many turning to faith in Jesus Christ.
